For sahne Sezin, I created a series of illustrated posters for theatre performances developed around the theme “Painting the Sky Every Morning“, its reference to Orhan Veli’s poem Dalgacı Mahmut deeply resonated with me. Despite the darkness we may wake up to, the theme reminded me of the courage to colour our own sky and of the healing power of shared imagination.
During our early conversations, Sahne Sezin’s creative team introduced a narrative structure in which each month focused on a specific emotion, paired with a colour. This conceptual framework went beyond pure fantasy, opening space for empathy, emotional acceptance, and collective creation. Translating this approach into a visual language led me to work with collage, a practice where I bring together photography and illustration as a storytelling tool.

While designing the posters, I aimed to create a shared visual world in which different characters, stories, and spaces exist under the same sky, emphasising emotional coexistence and continuity across performances.

I used black and white photographs alongside colourful illustrations to balance reality with the imaginative journeys offered by plays. Soft pastel tones were chosen to support the gentle and inclusive atmosphere of the theme.

This process allowed me to engage deeply with the emotional layers of each theatre play while developing a coherent visual language that connected all posters into a unified narrative.
